Celebrate Indian Culture in Yorkshire
Yorkshire is hosting the first ever International Indian Film Academy Fringe Festival, alongside the main IIFA weekend events. The festival will be packed with fringe and community events in cities across Yorkshire; here are just some of the highlights taking place.
Bradford
The sights, smells and tastes of South Asia are bought to life at the 'Bollywood Bazaar' plus 'Bollywood Steps' - a dance spectacular inspired by Bollywood movies.
Leeds
Leeds Mela host's fabulous stalls, films, fashions and live music, plus 'Bollywood Jane' at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
York
Get a taste of India at the mini mela with food, drink, drama and dance, plus a fashion show at the National Railway Museum and Bollywood Baja Band - one of Europe's first Indian brass bands, playing everything from Bhangra to Jazz.
Sheffield'Bollywood in the basin' world music, dance, multicultural arts and crafts at the historic Victoria Quays, with the best Bollywood dance groups from across Yorkshire leading taster sessions in the city centre.
